Hello all,
I just thought of this being worthy to post on the forums. This is more of a suggestion/idea GC should consider.....Not that it'll happen anyways, but in a shot of luck maybe this'll get some attention, it seems kind of a basic request, dont think it's hard to implement, but --
First off, I mainly like to use GC to build mini-like cities ( who doesn't? ), and when I make something of this nature, I tend to divide my map/level into square segments. And I was thinking today, how similar this would be to SimCity, but how? If GC had more of a drag and drop interface, such as the one in FPSCreator, you would be able to make square sized buildings ( not necessarily the building being square, but the base of it would be a square shaped plot where you would design a parking lot/sidewalks/etc. first )
It would be like designing a city in simcity, then loading into simcopter, walk around and explore the city. That's kind of a bad example.
Basically, this would increase the speed of a flow of a project. There would be templates you'd load, or append, a whole entire selection of entities you drag and drop right in a mini-dialog box at the bottom. And of course you'd be able to implement other entities as well, like phone lines, benches, bus stops, which wouldn't normally be in the dialog box.
Just felt like expressing, no biggie.
