If I have the command ShowForm() in a script, I don't get input from the WASD keys until I press one of the mouse buttons.

I've tried placing ShowForm( "myForm") in the initialize section of a script, in the menu.gsl, in the main.gsl - doesn't matter where it's located.

Additionally, after pausing the game, the same phenomenon occurs - no input from WASD until I press a mouse button.

This problem is not local to the newest release, and I believe its related to why the old BV character script "stopped working" sometime during the beta releases of GC.

Anyone else seen this?  Why would ShowForm have any impact on keyboard input?

do you tick, in the menu editor, "AllowFocus" and "Allow CaptureMouse" to false for your form "myForm"?

Thank you , Lutin!  That was it.  I would not have guessed that those options would default to true.
