I've just found this news, the sponza atrium model made by Marko Dabrovic and used for a lot of lighting test is now available for free. You can found it on crytek web site. http://www.crytek.com/downloads/technology/

Here some screenshots of my first test with that model:

Here is the first version of my demo of the Sponza atrium under Gamecore. The player can move in all the atrium and show the number of FPS. Many post-processing effects were used (ambient occlusion, HDR, bloom),so ? light ? machines risk to suffer.

The next versions should correct shadow bugs, to allow to deactivate post process effects, a cinematic mode,  a  day / night  cycle and  include some physical objects.

@pixel this version is darker than the pics i've post and in that version bloom is very low.

I have not found yet how to represent at best this scene :enlightened as my previous post or darker as crytek made (http://img10.imageshack.us/i/screenshot0262.jpg/)

about the framerate, i've got 33fps in fullscreen and in the editor ("use game resolution") 55fps, i will that a look at that.

hm, I think your screens is almost better, but your floor is to bright so maybe something in between. Their shadows are almost black and I don't think that looks good Smiley

i haven't made much more improvement since the first release. i'll try to work on it when the 2.5 will be out.
