Just starting up this thread to organize any / all links that I find that I think might be useful to the community. Comprehensive 3ds Max Tutorialshttp://www.cguu.com/3dsmax/3dSMAX9/3dsmax_t/Huge list of 3ds Max tutorials from beginner to advanced. Includes level design for games, character modeling and much much more. I'm sure I have more bookmarked, will update this post as I find more. Please feel free to post useful links that you may have in your library.

http://www.sharecg.comA creative-commons library of 3d models. Very cool (check out the licenses for individual items however).

For maya users (and of other software too), cool MEL scripts, free Rigs, rigging tools etc etc: http://highend3d.com/maya tutorials (and I believe mudbox too): http://area.autodesk.com/But don?t forget to go to Amazon.om and buy some books on your subject of interest. I think books are more complete in general.

www.flay.com Probably the best reference for LW 3rd party utilities, free plug-ins, and scripts. Also news updates on CG industry events and technology.

I have mentioned it in other threads, Accutrans 3D is my favorite 3d utility program: http://www.micromouse.ca/index.html Just tonight I discovered yet another feature. I can draw a 2d graphic in Paint, and then load it in Accutrans and it automatically meshes for me. Some other thing I use it for are poly reduction, file format conversion, merging and splitting 3d files, changing layers, smoothing, flipping normals and basic uv mapping. It has animation too, but I have not tried it yet. Give it 1/2 hour to get used to the interface (its no frills) - its a free trial download, could be the best $20 you ever spent.
