Ok, this is maybe a stupid question, but how the hell i can create a skydome to use in Gamecore/BV???
Iam using XSI,
Ive done a sphere , textured it, inverted the polys from outside to insde the sphere, and than triangulated the model.
...and the sky is not working in the engone...
So i changed the material from Phong to Constant, nothing...
Its not so complicated , but i cant get donne , i dont know where is the fault.

What is not working? The texture? Is the texture showing? What format is the dome?

I just added a dome. Applied texture and made UV spherical. Used .tga pic for texture and ready to go. I even have a rotating sky via script.

I also have problems with sky in the new engine. There is some options in that window so try them all. You should invert normals so they are showing the inside. That is it

Would someone mind sharing their skydome textures? I would certainly appreciate it.

If you are just trying to create a sky sphere, I would just use the auto-generated ones that are available.

There are really only 2 scenarios that you'd want to create custom skies:

1) you want to have a traditional 'sky box' - ie a 6 sided box.  In this case, we don't have this option at the moment

2) if you want custom geometry to appear in your sky - for example planets or something similar.

As a quick tip you can also use environment maps as sky textures as well - so you can setup a scene in the world editor, render an environment map from it and use it as a sky ;}
