I have just completed the "Editing Terrain" tutorial everthing is fine untill I try blending another layer see image below. It does'nt seem to be blending. Could it be related to this topic http://www.gamecore3d.com/forums/index.php?topic=505.msg3802#newif so I will have to wait for the OpenGL shaders is completed before I can use it ?

I am currently forced to use an old BV rc as I cannot use GameCore 2.0 due the slowness of the DX shaders and the lack of the OpenGL shaders.Trying the DX shaders I get 1 - 2 FPS and therefore is useless to me, using OpenGL I get around 85 FPS,is there a possibility of being able to temporarily download a better version of the old BV?
I am putting together a better though old DX machine (awaiting parts) so hopefully I will be allowed to transfer my license even though this machine does not have an internet connection. I hope you can understand my frustration.
Thanks
My laptop specs:-
Acer Aspire 9301AWSMi
Amd Turion 64 mobile Technology MX-36 (2.0GHz 512KB L2 cache)
Nvidia GeForce Go 6100 Turbocache (384MB)
2GB DDR2 ram
XP Pro 32Bit SP3

Well due to needing internet connection for activation which my second computer does not have and the absense of OpenGL shaders it is with regret I must ditch GameCore, which is a great pity.

I have a laptop using wifi.
If your laptop has wi-fi, you should be able to register GameCore. If you don't have a wireless router to access the internet, your laptop does come with an ethernet connection. All you have to do is plug in an ethernet cable to your routher and you can activate GameCore that way. Adrian

Yes, but I am unclear as to what issues you have and on what computers. Right now, I am trying to follow up your support ticket regarding activating GameCore. If you would like to open up a ticket with all your issues listed separately so that they can be individually addressed, we may be able to assist you better.

I have GameCore 2 installed and the license activated on my laptop (wifi). The problem I have is running GameCore 2 in Direct X mode it is intollerably slow 1 - 2 FPS ,therefore I am running GameCore 2 in OpenGL mode but I cannot blend textures or have shadows as according to Johnathon the OpenGL with shaders is currently not implemented.
I understood it is possible to have GameCore licensed on a second computer , now I have just put together a desktop computer which has a nvidia 8400GS video card (I know its not the best by any means) which would hopefuly allow me to run GameCore 2 in Direct X mode, This desktop computer has no internet connection available to it, I share the internet access the router is up stairs and I have to work downstairs.
Now assuming I am correct and I am allowed to run a second copy of GameCore 2 on a second computer I somewhat stupidly thought that there would some provision to activate it such as a hardware return code like most software without requiring the user to move thier eqipment around the building.

Indie users are allowed to have a second install, although they are not allowed to run two copies concurrently. As such, the first copy has to be de-activated and the second copy activated through the software. Activation and exporting requires Internet access. Obviously if your second machine doesn't have internet, this would be a problem. Unfortunately an internet connection is required for activation as it ties into our online store and accounts and is the only way we can verify available licenses for all users. We do not have the resources right now to offer something like activation by phone. Although we did look into that option, it's simply not practical right now for us. Wireless cards for PC's can run less than $30US. You may even be able to find a second hand card somewhere for less. If you are able to access wireless internet on your laptop downstairs, this may be a viable solution for you. Or if you go with a straight Ethernet card (which you may be able to find for even less) but are unable to run a cable from downstairs to upstairs, you can connect your desktop to your laptop and do Internet Connection Sharing through the laptop's wireless via a cross-over Ethernet cable. While we do not provide support for this, I have set this up before and it may be a viable method for getting that initial activation on the second machine. A walk through of this method can be found here http://www.conniq.com/WinXPNetworking_Ethernet_direct_connection.htmI hope one of the above solutions works for you in the long run.
