I don't know why but I did not manage to make move a box, as a player, or other 3d model without animations with the network_character scipt. I can rotate the box with the mouse and in debug mode (ctrl F9) all the input actions work (they go from 0 to 1).

The collision object "base" is declared.

Is it because no animations are attached to the model?

Any clues?

does the collision object have a mass?  objects without a mass are treated as 'static' - although they 'can' be moved / manipulated from script manually, the character script assumes that the character's physics object has mass.
