I'm getting close to wanting to test connectivity (Using Vibe2K Script at the moment helping them test multiplayer) is there anymore information on the Master Server setup? How to, step by step, docs? Thanks!

Sounds like you're making awesome progress Merrie! Congrats!

The Vibe2K Script is very, very powerful I've realized. Definitely glad
that I took that course, for the script and assets alone.

Will be interesting to see what you have cooking up ;-)

Well I'm working on the same, same, just  a little fantasy themed social world. Right now I'm in a 3D Modeling course with 3DTi http://www.3dtraining.com/ putting most of my energy into that. By the end of the course I will be able to do any modeling, animation I or others need, hoping to Freelance as well.

Yes Vibe2K script is fantastic, what I'm lacking right now are characters but in a few short weeks that will not be a problem anymore Smiley

The master server is basically a php / mysql application that will need to be installed on whatever server you are hoping to use as your central login location.

It comes with a rudimentary installer, which will require basically a mysql database, user name and password in order to be installed.  This is similar to the installation requirements for simple web CMS / blog systems like wordpress etc.

Once the master server is setup, there is a basic web-admin panel that you can log into and add registered games into the system, which is what your game uses to create / manage users and handle the actually account logins.

For RC2 (about to be released), there is a second, more advanced component which is required for NAT traversal and UDP connectoins - it is a very simple application that can be run on windows or linux boxes and serves as a kind of intermediary between the master server and the clients attempting to connect to your game.  The source code and precompiled versions for various versions of linux / bsd are being prepared.
