Smiley ah, sorry dude, you need to do some homework. You have good search keywords, so you're on the right track.

I got 570,000  google hits on "3d people design" which is cool. Thanks!

Your question is sort of like "how do I make a game? , just tell how, OK?"

Hang in there bud, and suggest you read all the forum posts, follow all the links, and keep notes.

Long answer:
- characters / people etc are modeled in external 3d modeling packages like 3ds Max, Maya or even Milkshape 3d.  A good place to start is by looking up character modeling on game mod sites like PolyCount etc - they tend to have some good tutorials for getting started.

Yes the quote from the advertising "GameCore provides everything you need in one seamless package." is a bit optimistic. I think most users would have at least a companion 3D application, and probably a 2D image editor too.

There are many 3d packages out there and everyone has a favourite.
If you download Modtool from Softimage, it does modelling, animation and more. It comes with video tutorials and it's free for non-commercial use. It's hard to beat I think.

Well it's a general purpose modeller for all game engines, the tutorials for it won't cover GameCore specifically.

Wouldn't be that hard to insert a generic human model into the engine with like basic clothes on. Give the source files so people can skin clothes and whatnot to them. Provide a basic male and female. I already saw a perfectly decent female built and even customizable. No real idea if that's to be made available but I hope so as I'd like to study it. If you're patient maybe you can use that as a good start. Otherwise, you can explore something like Poser. There are others too.

A good way to practice modeling heads is to look for front and side shots of the same person under the same lighting conditions. If a point in the front view is at the corner of the mouth, and it's at the corner of the mouth in the side view, then it's in the right place. Check both views and name the point in your brain. "That's the inside corner of the eye, where is that in this picture?" Put it there. "Now where is it in this picture of the other view?" Put it there. It will look like a jagged slop of mess for about the first 45 minutes and then all of the sudden you will be looking at Sean Connery. Off a photograph, no artistic ability required.

You can find some here.

Creating people is one of the more advanced 3D modeling techniques. A good starting 3D software easy to learn is AC3D, you can Google it. Also there is a great 3DS Max tutorial that walks you through making a character, it will give you a good idea how its done even though you may not use Max. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=11006495&linkID=9241175 Grab the Modeling PDF there is a tutorial toward the back on creating a character.

Excellent point.  Building recognizable character models is more advanced than something basic like a building or object made of blocks, or primitives, (sphere, cube, pyramid etc.)

After you learn how to use basic geometric shapes, then you do the more advanced organic modeling that's more like sculpting, and becomes more creative.

They are very high poly, GC can take it, but thats not the problem. In their EULA you cannot redistribute their models embedded in a 3d game, only 2d renderings. Maybe someday they will change that in the future - it could really increase their sales.

Is there any software that can be used in GC and like you can sell the game you make with using the software?
