I encounter an error while trying to load a scene object. It seems that some bmp textures are invalid on my model.

"Image LoadBMP - Invalid BMP image file

So, is it a bug or is there something to know about bmp files ?

Maybe it is a 32 Bit Bitmap?

No, it's a 8bit one.

Moreover, there is only two textures on the whole model that are not loaded, the others are fine.

Here is the specs of the bitmap :

bmp file
RVB, 8bits
32*32pixels 72dpi

I'm sure you thought of changing them to legal size jpg, (remember, only base line jpg) or tga if it needs the alpha channel.

I've been trying DDS for mostly everything, but as a warning, some of the old crappy graphics cards dont support "compressed textures", meaning the DDS,but I would just make specifications to the customer that the graphics 3d card has to support compressed textures, not a unresonable requirement at all. Basically a new card under $200 will do it.

I don't see a point in using a bmp file ever Smiley And especially a 32x32 one Smiley Use .tga or .dds instead. BMP is not optimal for gaming

Can you post up the bmp file so we can figure out what might be causing the issue.

Cheers
